My little little Gotlu is not so little anymore. I was going through the baby album the other day and you were so tiny, you would not even fit into most things. Baby Bjorn? You settled in at the bottom. Car Seat? The buckle and straps covered you completely. You used to flail your arms around and get scared when you smacked yourself.
Oh what a difference 24 weeks makes. That is how long you have been around, 24 weekends. And it feels like you have been around forever. As your father, I have had the joy of seeing so many little milestones. In the last four weeks, you have started to sit up a bit, and you have started to 'pre-crawl', which means you are shuffling around but not totally. However, you manage to make it all over the place, so are definitely moving around.
Today you ate your first bit of banana. Your mama was eating a banana while holding you and you bobbed your head down and took a little bite. We tried spinach yesterday but apparently baby and spinach don't go well together. You ended up with spinach everywhere except in your belly.
Your doctor said you were on the low end of the weight scale so we have been trying to feed you anything and everything. You presently are tall, have a small head and low weight. You are on your way to being a model, is what we joke.
You don't like your Exersaucer anymore. It lasted about five weeks. At $100, it cost us about three bucks a day. I hope we can pawn it off to someone on Craigslist. More likely we will hand it down to someone else.
Simone, you are totally and undeniably cute. I am trying to convince your Mom to give your hair a little bit of a trim. Right now you look like Kim Jong-Il.
Daddy loves his little 'bobu'!
