Chatterjee is a common surname in a part of India that neither of Simone's parents are from. But it is a word that we have adopted to explain how Simone sometimes goes on a talking kick, and just keeps talking and talking and talking all day, sometimes making sense, other times just nonsensically babbling. We love it! We try to keep up with her, try to talk with her, but mostly just enjoy her gabby goodness.
Tomorrow we are supposed to get our video recorder back from one of Rashmi's classmates, and I can't wait to start taping some of the babbling.
