Last week we started teaching Simone the names of body parts. She got the entire list within a week. I used to teach a word a day or more like 2 words a day but the end of the week she knew - eyes, ears, nose, teeth, hair, lips, knees, fingers, toes and stomach. Often we would say the word once and point to the object once. The next time we would ask her and she would point to the part. Wow! that was quick so now i am struggling with what to teach her this coming week. Maybe i will start with animals but she already knows duck, monkey, bear, dog, horise, fish, turtle maybe the different clothes might be an easier thing to learn. She's definitely a super fast learner. As of today she knows almost 64 words that i can think of.
The words Simone knows, speaks and understand: Bubbles, book, pooh, ball, bow bow, fish, turtle, eyes, ears, nose, teeth, hair, lips, knees, fingers, toes, stomach, pull, push, up, pick up, water, milk, sit, give, kiss, clap, blow, turn, music, dance, mommy, daddy, mama, sleep, banana, cracker, cheese, bye, bath, shoes, hat, baby, washy, finished, give me 5, shake, hurrah, kick, splash, no, press, come, open, close, duck, quack quack, socks, blue berries, flower, monkey, diaper, jacket, horise, AND FINALLY I LOVE YOU.
