Simone is a little fishy-fish. Yesterday for Texas Independence Day (Daddy had that day off), we went to Santa Monica beach. Daddy could not keep Simone out of the water. She saw the water, dropped the sand bucket, shovel, and slippers, and ran right in, with Daddy holding onto her shoulder. She loved the waves coming in, she would run away from them and back towards them. She saw a bunch of seashells, little ones, and she gathered three. One for Daddy, one for Mommy and one for Simone. Not for Neel. She doesn’t like puppy.Simone is also very adept at the many names of Neel. Neel, Vir, Babuji, Chunmun, Garibdas (the poor one), Dukhidas (the sad one) Parekh. We give him all these names because he sometimes looks like an old man in search of sustenance.Simone has become a little predator of sorts. She likes to hit Neel, but she can no longer mount a frontal attack. So she comes from the side, the back or uses her legs or fists. Grandpa is terrified that she will start to use her (plastic) golf clubs and her xylophone sticks to hit him. But she hasn’t done that yet. She has scratched puppy, hit him, tried to push him off the bed, and tried to upturn the carseat when he is sitting in it. We sometimes have to literally scream at her to stop. Simone went to the doctor yesterday, to help Neel with his shots. She has a nice conversation with the doctor, who asked her not to hit Neel. She tried to smack him on the way out. (Neel, not the doctor).
